How ASPA goes beyond being an organization
Students from Northridge High School participated in the 2015 Alabama Scholastic Press Association's State Convention held at the University of Alabama. The students had the chance to participate in contests and workshops. The skills they gained from participating in the convention transferred back into the classroom.

The Alabama Scholastic Press Association has been largely influential in the transformation of Hillcrest High School's PATS-TV. When first year teacher Capri Day took over the mass media class, she had no experience running a news show. ASPA has been there for her and her students as they work to create a more professional newscast.
