One of the ways that ASPA has hands-on interaction with various publications and individual students is through contests and critiques. Pictured below is the 2013 Journalist of the Year winner, Alex Hauser, alongside the 2014 winner, Riley Wallace.
Beyond being a direct source of help and guidance, the Alabama Scholastic Press Association is a place where students and advisors can come to find an index of various sources.
Some of the sources ASPA has compiled include software tutorials, lesson plans for teachers, new media websites for news organizations, and much more.
